Do you have a Smartphone?
Do you store your contacts directly on your phone or on your
phone’s SIM card?
If you answered yes to both of these questions you are at risk
of losing your contacts and you are potentially putting your contact’s
information at risk.
You probably have an email account.
Enter your contacts into your email account’s address book.
Then you can sync that list with your smartphone and other
devices (look under your email account settings on your phone for the ‘Sync
Contacts’ option).
If you lose your phone then you can still retrieve your
contacts from any computer with an internet connect or one of your other
devices.
If you lose your phone you can then change your email account
password and depending on your device - reduce the risk of your contact’s
information falling into the wrong hands.
